Accommodation

Students studying at the Geneva School of Diplomacy are responsible for arranging their own accommodation in Geneva.

While the School does not provide on-campus housing, it offers guidance and resources to support students in identifying suitable accommodation options in the city and surrounding areas.

Accommodation in Geneva

Geneva offers a range of housing options, including:

  • Shared apartments
  • Private studios or rooms
  • Student residences and housing organisations

Availability may vary depending on the time of year, demand, and individual preferences. Early planning is strongly recommended.

Student Residences and Housing Organisations

Several student residences and housing providers operate in Geneva and the surrounding region. These may offer furnished rooms or studios at varying price points.

Spaces are limited, and application deadlines may apply. Students are encouraged to explore options as early as possible.

Private Housing

Many students choose to rent accommodation on the private market, either individually or in shared apartments.

When considering private housing, students should take into account:

  • Rental costs and deposits
  • Lease duration and notice periods
  • Location and proximity to public transport
  • Utilities and additional charges

Rental contracts in Switzerland are legally binding, and students are advised to review terms carefully before signing.

Location and Transport

Geneva has an efficient public transport system, making it possible to live in different neighbourhoods or nearby municipalities while commuting easily to the city.

Accommodation outside the city centre may offer more affordable options while remaining well connected.

Support and Guidance

The Geneva School of Diplomacy can provide general guidance and resources related to accommodation but does not act as an intermediary between students and landlords.

Students are responsible for all arrangements, contracts, and payments related to housing.

Important Notice

Accommodation availability, costs, and conditions are subject to change. Students are encouraged to rely on official housing providers, reputable platforms, and institutional guidance and to remain vigilant when responding to private listings.
